    Port Vale v Portsmouth

Fine then. What about a 100 year ban?

Had yourself a nice little 1-0 today by the looks of it.

How would you book a match once qualified?

Genuinely? That seems to me like it would be an administrative nightmare?

How would you book a match once qualified?

You will have to sign up to a local league and they will then assign fixtures to you - you don’t get to pick. Your County FA will be able to help you find a league to sign up to, or alternatively do some research on grassroots leagues in your local area and just contact them.

    Bolton vs Cheltenham

I’m not sure if this angle really helps at all, particularly with the massive white arrow some Twitter user has rather ‘helpfully’ drawn for everyone, but the claim is that player is offside?

    Bolton vs Cheltenham

Incident starts around 1:15 and ends around 1:30. This goal was given as offside last night in the Bolton vs Cheltenham game. As a Bolton fan I’m incredibly cautious of passing much judgement on this one, but I think the argument being made is that one of the Cheltenham attackers impedes a...

    Coventry v Leicester

As discussed here recently though, the overturning of a decision doesn’t necessarily mean it was the wrong decision. The panel of 5 that makes these calls only has 1 actual referee on them.

    Clattenburg - Gladiators

Fair play to him. It’s a bit of fun, it’ll be quite good for his public image post-retirement, and he’s probably being paid a decent fortune for it.

    Man U v Wigan

Fernandes absolutely makes the most of it, but there’s definitely enough contact in that to award the penalty. At the end of the day it was a mistimed challenge.

    RC FOR CAR

It would be an awful situation to have to deal with, but it does read as being rather comical…

    Ars v Liv

To be honest the game didn’t really give him many decisions to make.

Red card did I do the right thing?

I’m aware how pedantic I sound here, but should “offensive language” not naturally fall under OFFINABUS and therefore be a sending off?

    Giving a ‘holding’ decision

I have on rare occasion asked CARs to describe an incident, but if I have to do so I first make it very clear that I’m not asking for their advice, just their recollection of what actually happened. When there’s a big call to make that can then be useful in forming a decision in combination with...

I wouldn’t bother even seriously engaging in a conversation like that, never mind trying to prove my point. I know I’ve played the right amount of time and that’s all that matters.

Just seen this on regional news, though I missed the start of the report? What was the initial ban for?

    Pal v Eve

This is what it says on the FA website: Support VARs will be in place for the FA Cup third round proper ties where the technology is in operation. A role utilised for a number of UEFA, FIFA and other international fixtures, the Support VAR's duties will include assisting the VAR and AVAR with...

Exactly. The system would only work if managers retained challenges for correct usage, but lost them for incorrect. Of course for subjective decisions there’d still be debate, but it would work to some degree.

    NEW LIV

If there is one thing that frustrates me the most it is seeing dives be rewarded, regardless of circumstances. It is not a brief error in judgement or a mistimed tackle, it is clear and deliberate cheating. In a game with VAR and the ability to endlessly review decisions, it is even more...
