    Log an extraordinary incident report?

It seemed a genuine chat really, I didn’t pick up on any “you don’t need to report that” vibes. Extraordinary report was submitted.

    My first game

As said above google the league your game is run by and look for a rules/policy section. Most will do a compact table summary looking something like this -

    Log an extraordinary incident report?

Thanks One, you make a good point, I’m nearing the end of my second season as R and always looking to learn/improve. Maybe asking a cheeky/gobby 15 year old if he’d like another yellow in front of his mates led him into a predictable response 😀

    Log an extraordinary incident report?

There had been a bit of low level grumbling going on mainly from their keeper (who knew!) the sort of stuff that’s borderline annoying/dissent, so there were a couple of warnings, but not specific to this player.

    Log an extraordinary incident report?

I have given the game some self reflection and concluded that I made it very clear during the pre game chat with the players that I wouldn’t tolerate dissent, so really the only thing I could have done differently (and it did think about doing it at the time) would have been to go back on that...

    Log an extraordinary incident report?

Thanks for the advice all, as a side note and quite refreshingly, reds “head coach” who had been observing the game from a distance asked for a chat after the game. He said he worked for a current championship club who have this youth grassroots club under their umbrella. He went on to say he...

    Log an extraordinary incident report?

U15 league cup quarter final, white v red, a pretty average game and it’s 2 nil reds. 60th min and I call a foul on reds, the offender has a winge and I tell him it’s an easy foul to give (clearly two hands on the oppo shoulders stopping him jumping for the ball) he says it’s only easy to give...

    Incorrect player names

Thanks for the advice all, I’ve submitted “Mr Gerard’s” caution and his team mate who also appears to have lied about his name too. Asking the captain to confirm the name of his player is a top tip too 👍

    Incorrect player names

I reffed an U18 game today and dished out 2 Sin bin yellows and a yellow for SPA all for away team. I took the three names given to me but only after the match did I realise 2 of the names given aren’t on the team sheet I was given (Unusually I was given a team sheet) Would you 1, contact the...

    Ref for U18 game

A question pls chaps Can an 18 year old ref take a middle in a league game involving an U18 team in grass roots youth football? I’m thinking at 18 the ref is considered an adult but normally in youth football the ref has to be at least a year older than the age group he’s officiating over 🤔

    County Cup

I took up a last minute appointment as R for my first ever County Cup game today, played at a university campus and the pitch was amazing, I actually felt a bit guilty about putting my studs on it! Made a real change to the ploughed fields I’m used too and the quality of play was excellent by...

Taking dissent YC for the team?

The Text that Alex posted in this thread seems to loosely cover it (although I don’t know where that’s taken from) other than that as I’ve already said I am confident he knew who said it So if maybe not concrete in law it is IMHO what football expects and aligned with the clamp down on dissent.

Taking dissent YC for the team?

I can and I did But always open to learning so may handle it differently next time

Taking dissent YC for the team?

Yes it’s possible he didn’t know but I don’t believe that was the case in this particular situation
