    "It's not a fashion show!"

    WHY NOT??? Agree that there's no relationship between type/amount/flashiness of equipment and ability, but to me it's fun to have colour coordinated whistle/shirt/notepad /nail colour/pen...I'm hopeless at fashion in my general life, but for games I like to be well put together. :)
