A yellow card for me, looked like a scissor tackle from one angle but not from the other angle. Most referees would have evened up the teams with a second yellow card to Oxford’s Spencer in 2H SPA. Manager immediately subbed him. ;)

I think if you watch it again, the whistle is quickly followed by the YC coming out of the pocket before any dissent can be given, he publicly rebukes Gimenez’s dissent & waves him away, there is little doubt the YC is for the foul. The live score websites are showing Gimenez YC 70th minute &...

In the 70th minute, the YC was out of the pocket immediately after the foul on Palmer by Ugarte. Giminez dissent is because he sees the YC. These officials are making it up. Does show the merits of ‘slow the process down’, don’t flash cards.

YC given for the foul on Cole Palmer in 70th minute on right wing. There is no question he messed up, he has given two YCs.

He gave Ben White a YC for the foul for the penalty, after the lack of YC for some very late challenges from Uruguay.
