    Chelsea v Arsenal

Few things that I am a bit surprised about from this game: 1) Tiago's challenge - ran from distance and 1 almost 2 footed lunge in on Martinelli. Xhaka v City and he got sent off for an identical tackle. 2) Cucurella, getting a yellow for his persistent fouling. But runs to the lino and shouts...

    Newcastle v Liverpool

Honestly can't believe the commentary about how that shouldn't have been a red for VVD as it was 'soft'. That's a textbook DOGSO. One thing I was disappointed with... Liverpool had 6 outfield players and the keeper protesting/surrounding the decision. No cautions given.

    Brighton v United

    1) didn't the ref blow for FT? Why is he restarting with a kick off? I thought it is finished after the penalty kick has been taken? 2) Shaw should have been sent off (second caution)? He punched the ball away like a keeper.

    City v Leipzig

I'm sorry, but how is that a penalty? City bloke has headed the ball onto the defender's arm which is approximately 30cm away from the city player. Also, city player has his elbow in the Leipzig player's back which makes him unbalanced in the air. Surely his arm is in a natural position?!

    Spurs v WH

Anyone watching this? How was that not a penalty? Great block with the hand to stop the through ball.

    Wolves v Arsenal

I don't understand how Wolves weren't given a penalty first half. VAR said it was onside (according to commentators) Saliba mistimed he tackle and wipes out wolves player. Referee says no foul. VAR didn't get involved in a very clear and obvious mistake? Which is really odd. Match resumed...

    Handball - VAR

Two incidents this weekend. 1) Newcastle player heads ball onto outstretched arm of Spurs player. Not a. Natural position and makes body bigger. Penalty Not given. 2) West Ham player crosses ball with defender sliding to close down ball. Motion is natural, but consequently makes body bigger...

    Newcastle v Liverpool

Just out of interest... Had Mane done that tackle on a midfielder in the middle of the pitch, surely that is a red? Why not on keeper? Studs on top of the knee and dragged down to the ankle. Really quite a horrible tackle. And... Let's be honest, he had about 1% chance of getting remotely...

    A Madrid v City

Anyone else think this is a really poor display from this referee for such a high profile European game?
  10. R

    Arsenal v Brighton

Thoughts on the disallowed goal? I believe it took 4 and a half minutes to conclude that they have no angles to use to draw lines as per commentary relaying the information to viewers, yet they disallowed it. Why didn't they stick with the on field decision in this case (onside).

    Leg break in Argentina

Have a watch of this (beware of a leg break though) Red card?
  12. R

    Villa v Arsenal

Who else noticed the ridiculous mistake by the ref? Booked xhaka for practically nothing. Then said it was his third foul?! That was his first foul. The ref has clearly mistaken xhaka for Partey, who has committed two other fouls. Other than that, pretty good first half by the ref...

    Liverpool v Leeds

Just out of interest, why wasn't the Leeds player sent off for DOGSO for the second penalty? Last man, No attempt to play the ball whatsoever, trips and drags down Mane.
  14. R

    Spurs v Southampton

What a complete mess. Spurs player fouls Southampton player on half way line. Results in head injury from the tackle and Sanchez landing on his head/neck. Ref doesn't give foul nor stops play for a clear head injury. Spurs go on and score. 2 issues. 1) brings up the inconsistency of...

    Liverpool v Arsenal

Most comical red card of the season? Got to love Xhaka for the entertainment he gives referees. Unsure how he is a professional tbh.
  16. R

    West Ham v Leeds

Not entirely sure how they've allowed that stand? Bowen is offside and clatters into the keeper - defo prevents him playing the ball (collecting it cleanly). Another example of it would be be nice to hear the VAR make the decision.
  17. R

    Chelsea v Brighton

So full speed 2 footed flying lunges are no longer a red?
  18. R

    Arsenal v Sunderland

No VAR and the ref was brilliant. Two penalty calls spot on. No VAR to rely on and he did it - all on his own. Great control of the game when Sunderland lost their heads and started flying into tackles. Linos were equally as good - all tight calls were correct from memory. Does VAR make...
  19. R

    Everton v Liverpool

Anyone else surprised by the lack of red for DOGSO for the Coleman handball? Thought VAR would be all over that. No covering defenders (immediately near him - yes someone further back on the other side of the area, but jota has one touch and is about 15 yards from goal pretty central) and...

    Southampton v Villa

The ref is having a game to forget here. El Ghazi should have been sent off several times. The pull back/face grab was poor. The worst dive in Premier League history - just not good enough. This has EL Ghazi winner written all over this haha
