We've shut up shop for the winter for 11 a side... so it is into the refurbished bomb shelters and vast underground lairs for the futsal.
I had 6 games last week. Three advantages leading to goals. Three technical rule co**-ups. But happy players. Worst one was a game ending on a handball in the centre circle. Buzzer, whistle, hand shakes, one-one... and then thirty seconds later I am thinking... that was the cumulative foul that should have been a long penalty... but it was too late.. I thought it had passed until one of the players came up to me five mins later. I confessed and they took it well. They had qualified for the next round.
