Appointments App?

Morning all,

I have been asked the following by chairman/founder of the club my son used to play for. He/they already have an app in place for parents/players to check fixtures,location,meet times etc each week and he has asked,

"Talking about ad hoc games, if there was a website or app advising referees of matches looking for a referee, do you think it would be used if it was regional?"

I said I would ask the sensible people on here, who I promised would give him some valuable feedback.

Please do,if you think its a bad or good idea

I think it could work, people already use Twitter a lot for searching for referees etc, so why not an app?

sounds like a great idea, and i guess it could work in reverse too ... referees looking for a game, rather than games looking for a ref

I agree that this would be a great idea.
At the moment, I'm not able to register with a league as a referee, as I also play (on Saturdays) and coach (on Sundays). However, when we don't have a match, I'm always keen to referee but don't know how to go about getting a match.
Maybe the app could be called match.com ;o)
