How loud? How often? Was there any reaction from the player shouted at? Was there any reaction from the parent(s) of "Jack"?

I'd really need to be there to give advice on this situation, but these are things (above) you need to consider. Is it poor practice or is it abuse?

My general concencus is, if its not swearing stay out of it... This is why I usually avoid u8-u11 because situations like this occur and I simply don't know when it's appropriate to intervene.

Thanks...it wasn't so much abuse, I just don't think it appropriate at all at that level.

If it's a regular occurrence through the match....I would be dropping an email to the league & club welfare officer.
Kids can be destroyed by negative reinforcement and criticism at this age group....

If its an isolated incident then just let it go.
