Hello.
I have been reading/lurking in the shadows of these forums for a while and thought it was about time to raise my head above the parapet. I have seen some interesting discussions and a lot of helpful friendly advice, hopefully i can provide the same
This is my first season as a referee and to start with I thought to myself "what have i gotten into?" not sure of what how to apply the LOTG correctly as it seemed so distant from the basic course I received a year ago. Since then I feel I have grown in confidence over applying the laws but knowing I still have a lot to learn.
I was speaking with my referees secretary the other day and he was astounded that it was my first season as all the club marks I had received were on average higher than some of the other referees. Based on this I have applied for promotion for next season but even if I don't get it at least i will know what to focus on for future games.
If your still awake after reading this, thank you
I look forward to reading all the advice you can give on my numerous threads.
Dave
