Iceland V England

Its interesting because in some countries 'lack of respect for the game' is quite a strict thing. In others, if its not reckless,SPA etc then it doesn't matter. Guess it depends which of those it is!

This is another case where some of the attempts to more specifically define may do more harm than good. But Law 12 still says "including if" before it's list. In other words, the list is not intended to be all-encompassing (even though some places require one of the examples to be listed, which leads to lack of respect for the game to become the catch-all).

Historical aside: In the 70s, there were only four cautionable offenses (dissent, PI, leaving/entering, and ungentlemanly conduct)--and the magic book had only one example of UGC (now USB), the GK lying on the ball too long. USB then was truly ITOOTR and nothing else. Now we seem to want to stuff everything in a box. (There were only three sendoffs-- VC, OFINABUS, 2CT (spitting was called out as VC).)
