IDFK in penalty area

I was reading through a few posts regarding IDFK's and someone said...

"an indirect free kick awarded inside the goal area must be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred."

I clearly understand IDFK can be awarded in the PA however unsure as to the placement of the IDFK as I am sure i've seen IDFK taken from all sorts of areas in the PA

So an offence that occurs in the goal area has to be taken on the "6 yard line"

Whereas an offence in the PA will be taken from where the offence occurd?

Defensive IDFK - Anywhere in the goal area.

Attacking IDFK - On the goal area line closest to where the offence took place.

Not a verbatim quote but close enough.
Correct. I just have read BH's post wrongly. Thought he'd intimated that IDFK DEF was from the point of the foul inside goal area. My apologies

It's more than necessary! @DanCohen17 Apologising? Oh my days. :p

As for the rest of you guys, you are going far too easy on him!!!!

We all make mistakes, just like SM's mother didn't choose to abort ;)

Although, 2 people saying I didn't need to apologise...after I actually did...is truly incredible!
