Liverpool V Utd

Phenomonal decision not to caution Firminio there. (after a harsh YC for Lukaku IMO)

A good example to throw into that old 'game management' topic that was floating around a while back. I can understand why United were annoyed with that one.

That offside goal, interfering with an opponent?

Certainly interfered with the goalkeeper by potentially changing the direction of the ball.

Keita made to go off, after both he and Lukaku were treated following Lukaku's yellow card tackle. The card was delayed so see no justification for making Keita go off.
Good solid performance wasn't really many derby tackles or flashpoints to manage. Ashley Young moans about any petty little decision stick a few lemons up his arse.

Would VAR have given a pen for Bailly on Lovren for the ankle crunch when he shot from the 6 yard box... ball still in play... ...?

The best thing about this game: how United gave up with 15 to play. Ferg must have loved that ;)

It's simpler than that... law 11 has a line for us:

"clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent"

As someone with a swing to the red side of Stretford the best pressie Santa can bring is bye bye Jose and SAF till end season and hello Steve Clarke.

Do you think the 31% win record at West Brom, the 35% win rate at Reading or his 53% win rate foray in non league football north of the border would sway the money men at Old Trafford??

Every time Jones, Young, Feli... and on this form Matic... line up for United it's like xmas has come early for this Santa!

Fit Pogba unused on the bench is a damning indictment of any managerial team.

10 men in the box defending is a damning indictment of any manager. United have a lot of quality, but that's useless if you see fit to shove everyone in the box and then waft long balls aimlessly towards opposition defenders.

Jose is just failing to adapt to the modern game imo.

In his words, have some respect :) ..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/José_Mourinho#Managerial_statistics His record is second to none despite the current difficulties!!!

"When Chelsea changed managers, they looked to the best tacticians Serie A had to offer. When Liverpool changed manager, they chose the hottest, most exciting free agent manager available. When Tottenham changed manager, they plucked the best up-and-comer in the Premier League. When Manchester City changed manager, they got Pep Guardiola, former leader of the best club side of a generation, if not all time.

When Manchester United changed manager, they picked a man who had been sacked by a rival after alienating everyone at the club, from the boardroom to the medical room to the dressing room. You can’t say they didn’t know what they were getting, and it is hard to feel sympathy now that history is repeating itself at their expense."

Ouch from F365

Klopp has contested seven cup finals as a manager - four at Borussia Dortmund and three with Liverpool - but only won ONE of them.

Steve Clark did make 6 appearances for Scotland in that all conquering era.....Give him the job now!!

The Glazers gave him a new deal last year so it's probably £20m for them to sack him now. Big rumours that they're selling to The Saudis soon so with that in mind they'll probably keep him on and let the Saudis spend the money on the compo fee

They do, but how many of their starting 11 today would actually get into any of the current top 4 sides? 3, maybe 4?
One? After Dave... OK 2 as Lukaku would be good at Chelsea... I can’t find a starting place for Marcus. On this form Matic wouldn’t get the vacant spot at the back of Spurs’ midfield...

No, there is no way he would get the job but dont forget his roles at Chelsea and Liverpool, plus folk do make mistakes and learn from them but no, sadly he is not a glamour name for a top role. Clark and SAF himself would do tho!
