I was thinking of joining my local referee's association. Do you think that joining the local RA would aid me as a newly qualified referee?

Yep for sure. Great way to get to know other referees and pick up some tips.

Yes, some of them will hold training sessions, law advice etc. You'll also find more senior referees who can teach you tricks of the trade. You'll also find the comedians though.

I thought joining your local RA was more or less obligatory? Even if it's not it's definitely worth doing in terms of meeting other referees, getting advice and developing.
