Hello All

Retired referee but still involved and interested and hope to contribute to the Forum.

Huddersfield based now but have ref'd in Lincolnshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire as well as West Yorkshire.
Enjoyed them all and noted the differences.

Only found one County FA that bans club linesmen from giving any decisions at all other than ball in and out of play. They can't even tell you which way the throw-in/goal kick/corner should go. You really have to be fit to make all the off-side decisions. Any other County FA introduced that ruling?

Here in Scotland, the CAR can only tell you if the ball is in/out of play so we're on out own and that's only if the ref wants them to help. I prefer giving them a flag, but others just make all the decisions themselves.
