Semi Final Appointment

So, just got an email through appointing me as a assistant to county cup semi-final. Appears I'm a late addition due to somebody dropping out. Well chuffed! First ever appointment from the county so couple of questions.....

1 - Do I just reply to the email to confirm my acceptance of the fixture?

2 - Will the referee contact me in the week prior to the game?

3 - How did I get selected??? It's my first season back, so not really on anyone's radar I don't think. Did my name just get picked out?

4 - It's a 2pm kick off, what time would you expect that I would need to be at the ground?

It's a week Saturday and I'm buzzing already!!

1. Yes definitely reply to confirm
2. The ref should always contact their assistants in the week prior to the game so yes they should do
3. You must of impressed someone somewhere
4. Unless the ref says otherwise I would personally look to get there about an hour before kick off

Received an email today for a youth County Cup Semi next Sunday.......same age as my Son whose team are in the other Semi.

Have emailed the Appointments Officer and hoping it doesn't cause an issue
