It might look diff at ground level but on tv its a clash
The refs top is just a tiny shade lighter than the away teams, crazy.

I think it’s probably similar to how when Man City and Chelsea play each other it’s light vs dark blue. Always thought it was a bit risky

I had one similar yesterday, top identical but red socks and shorts. Players kept moaning and asking me to put a bib on, I usually would be inclined to as we can’t wear a different coloured shirt but anyone with a pair of eyes could look up and see the different coloured shorts
 
Reminds me of a Legends game I played last year: due to an admin **** up, we were in white, the opposition was in white, the ball was white. And then it snowed. Great game of football, enjoyed by all, whites won 2-1.

Except that the colours we're talking about are not close. Just because the terms used for two shades of a colour are expressed partly by using the same word (in this case 'blue") doesn't mean the colours can't be perfectly easily distinguished. An extremely pale light blue and an extremely dark navy blue could be almost as distinct from each other as white and black. On the other hand, an extremely dark navy blue could be difficult to distinguish from black - and the fact that the names of the colours are different doesn't influence this.

It's not what you call the colours that matters, it's how easy (or difficult) it is to tell them apart.
