The RA Premium & Adidas Kit

I've been refereeing for 6 years and never heard of a requirement to wear a badge. The kit they recommended on my course was not badged. As it happens both my shirts are badged so it's no problem but a ref sec on a league I used to do (and am still on the mailing list for) sent an email berating refs for not wearing badged shirts just last week. This is in London. Very odd.

At the very least you should wear a FA Referee badge.

I was picked up by an assessor this year on my assistant taking to the field without a badge- the Velcro failed and it sat pitch side following warm up. Didn't notice it at the time , but I can tell you which badge is being warn every time. Where I am based the Forces refs love their badge. Even get the odd RN one
 
Ive seen a few refs around my way without badges, never heard of anyone getting told off for it, though all my leagues with the exception of the ryman development and county womens league state we should be wearing the county badge.

My flags are both quartered, but one has the yellow "spines" and the other has orange "spines" - and whenever we've used mine or similar sets, the referee always makes a point of giving the senior AR the orange spines and the junior the yellow spines. I've started doing this myself when handing one of my flags to the other AR and I have no idea why!

you have the separation to disquinish the difference in assistant referees - the actual flags should be as per the PL - one quartered (with orange trimming) and one all yellow.

also @Brian Hamilton - in Essex they want you wearing that county badge ASAP! in fact I am sure you get given one on completion of the course (I did anyway back in the day lol) regardless of level. - although I didn't know about the FA badge, I've never been asked for proof of level though or even asked level when getting the FAMOA badge on kits

On badges a fellow suffolk referee bought a second hand kit and it came with a county badge on it. I don't have a county badge and have no idea if I should have one. I have represented my county at an inter county schools game, never found out whether it was a cup or a league game, and have been involved in a county cup semi final day at youtj level. Do not have a county tie either. Only 3 lions on my shirt but only on my black kit, not on my orange one!!!!!

im surprised at that, we are constantly told that CFA badge is to be worn at County cup matches - and County tie is imperative also! for senior leagues though I think any tie is suitable, I just use my CFA one as I have it (wanna get to 4 so I can get a nice FA one)
 
I have a nice pink tie with flowers and would have pink for the second colour of our shirts but it wasn't an option. I don't know what the protocol is for county badges at all. Is it different in different FAs?

the rules are the same across all counties - just some are more relaxed with implementing them
