Crackdown of Dissent

I think the mandatory yellow for waving an imaginary card is daft. It’s not a big dissent problem. It’s nothing compared to the abusive language we see on camera, the physical intimidation, crowding of refs etc.

What i find bizarre is that it directly contradicts what Collina taught as head of world cup referees, when he explained that players use non verbal communication in multi cultural environments.

Q. “Why isn’t that a card?” = waves imaginary card.
A. “Lots of defenders” = points at locations

Etc etc. fine for me.

It’s window dressing and not addressing serious dissent and abuse.

That's as may be, but it is what PGMOL have decided and what they have told the players. So anyone still doing it needs to head their heads checked out.
