A&H

Open Age had a player who refused to take his wedding ring of but had it taped ....

Having refereed and played both sides of the border, in my experience the standards of behaviour North are poor.
Put a first season ref on the Fife League and see what happens. (Disgusting league. Barbaric players and cowardly refs.)
Having said that, I remember refereeing my first adult match in Leicester, I was completely out of my depth and never should have been anywhere near this match.
I think first, say, 20 matches should be u21 only.

The Referee Store
Don't know about rest of Scotlandshire but I can see the reasoning behind it for development and the retention of younger referees. It can be a culture shock going from refereeing 14 year old kids to refereeing their parents lol
Based on my first few open age games I much prefer Adults! Quick moan then they seem to just get on with it. None of the issues from the parents either! Jewellery comes off no matter what. Can't come off then he/she doesn't play!
