"High profile" Referees

Bit of an odd one but found out someone senior at my work referees at the weekends.

Wondered if people in here knew of anyone with a decent public profile who also happens to ref?

not personally but douglas ross couldn't really have been any more public or high profile in his day job when he reffed in Scotland and for uefa

Very much still officiating at the top level, lino though.

was selected as part of WC 2018 as lino until pulling out, causing Scotland to suffer the same fate as Englands candidates

There are a few with same surname, but not that I work with directly.

I’m Timothy Chalomet and I’ve not met any other refs at work.

Jeremy Hunt allegedly became a referee, but I suspect it was just a publicity stunt when he was secretary of state for sport. He did actually qualify though.
