I had a game today, a good fair division one battle between two teams who wanted to play football that ended 4-4.

i got a text from the home team a little while ago thanking me for refereeing their game, I was appointed by the league so it wasn’t done as a favour or anything like that.

It’s only a little thing, but it is good that some teams, even if they don’t agree with every decision, do appreciate what we do.

I had that the other week. Alas, not this weekend. A couple of really tough games, rounded off with a red for OFFINABUS today. But it is the good games that make up for the rarer, challenging ones.

True, and it’s nice to be reminded that teams do appreciate what we do (most of the time).
