Q. Which was the first team to win a Wembley cup final by penalty shoot out.

(Bonus question - which current Premier League manager missed his sudden death penalty to hand the trophy to the opposition?)
Internationally it was on the 22 June 1996 - Spain 0 England 0[0-0]AET [0-0] & Penalties [2-4]Wembley Stadium, Wembley, London (75,440)
Domestically, (but not Wembley), In England, the first penalty shoot-out in a professional match took place in 1970 at Boothferry Park, Hull, between Hull City and Manchester United during the semi-final of the Watney Cup, and was won by Manchester United. The first player to take a kick was George Best, and the first to miss was Denis Law. Ian McKechnie, who saved Law's kick, was also the first goalkeeper to take a kick; his shot hit the crossbar and deflected over, putting Hull City out of the Cup.

A
shoot-out was first used in the FA Cup Final in 2005, when Arsenal beat Manchester United 5–4.

Only three players born after the Premier League began (August 1992) have scored Premier League hat-tricks?

Whilst @Sheffields Finest is not wrong, he has made the school boy error of not answering the question that was asked:

Q. Which was the first team to win a Wembley cup final by penalty shoot out, so the question still stands

(Hint: a team not a million miles from Sheffield)
