The Ref Stop
Moving on to the knock-out stages, three quarters of the way through the competition and 16 games to go.

As much as I hate to disappoint alex, still the same points scoring system, the only difference being that, if a game goes to extra time, it will be the score after 120 minutes that will count.

If two people are level in the league at the end of the competition, final positions will be decided firstly by who predicted the most correct scorelines and secondly by the person who came closest to predicting the total number of goals in the tournament as a whole. (Edit to add, I realise that predicting the total no. of goals is open to abuse but, as we're all referees, there's clearly no chance of that happening :))

So predict away on the 8 second round ties

You forgot to give your score for Argentina v Switzerland, Tom,...or will the two countries be at war by tuesday and, consequently, refuse to fulfil the fixture, giving FIFA an even bigger headache than the Suarez incident?

Brazil may not have deserved it, but I would much rather they went through, is good for the whole tournament IMO.
