Speculative question, Would this be given as offside in a VAR review in EPL?

(the ball goes directly to Benzema who puts it in the goal)



EDIT: Just looked at it again. The ball seems to have been played by an Athletic Bilbao player before Benzema scores. But it is still an interesting question.

Looking purely at the still I think its offside (though I see your edit) - but since you ask about EPL that would be a 3D line call.

Also looks like not quite the right frame, but very hard to be sure from just one still. (In MLS, which does not draw lines, I think the VAR would decide it is inconclusive and the call on the field--either way--stands.)
