Not sure how that works when the new promotion season starts on 1st August, and most leagues won't start until September anyway. I asked the FA and they say the latest it could run to was the end of May.

The email I received was

Following on from my recent email regarding referee promotions for this season, we will be extending the 2020/21 promotion season to the 30th September 2021. This will give you a greater opportunity to meet the promotion requirements for the 2020/21 season.
