URGENT | Coin Toss

Urgent - First game, today! Sorry for posting so late but it's only just hit me! What's the best way for the coin toss? Do you have to follow a certain technique or what do you suggest?

I was thinking of tossing it, and asking the home team to call. If they get it correct, I'd ask them if they want kick or choose sides. If wrong, I'd give the away team kick. Is that acceptable or not?

I usually ask the home team to toss and catch and away team to call it. The winner chose which side and the loser kicks off.
