Khedira on Suarez in the corner... looked like a RC to me...

I note that Kuipers tonight, and Kassai last night, both displayed the one-handed advantage signal. Both were vaguely left side, not really running, did not seem to require one hand rather than two... certainly not as clear as two hands... what's the guidance here... any instructions beyond the brief passage in the laws on when to use one hand...?

Shocking game, all thats wrong in the game, dissent, imaginary yellows, time wasting, play acting, fouls... best team won but FFS, what a shocking spectacle!! and no, a yellow for me!!!

Yeah, it's annoying and often not clear. It can be confusing for both players and fans. And it's even worse when the ref apparently can't even bother and doesn't give any signal, which also seems to happen regularly.

it might have looked a tard aggressive but not really certainly a reckless strong tackle he went in there either getting the ball or getting the man! and i agree with @Sheffields Finest; match control was not at its best today.... but then again a very tense match

I saw the reply. Two legged, straight legs, off the ground, studs up, no chance to get the ball... it's excessive force and clearly endangering the safety of the opponent for me. I think that because Kuipers is in a different postcode, and it's Suarez, Sami has got away with that one.

I thought you could use the one arm signal as it is easier to do when moving. I only use the one arm movement but I have qualified with this rule, I also shout advantage as a lot of players don't seem to know the signal.
Suarez is one of the few players in the world I'd enjoy seeing getting hurt and being stretchered off...
Despite club rivalries surely you don't want to see any player getting stretchered off. This is someones career and a human being we are talking about. As refs we are tasked with the safety of players and if at the end of the game all players are not hurt then we are doing our jobs right. I would not want to see any of my clubs rival players stretchered off with a bad injury.

I don't like the one armed advantage signal especially as it looks the same as a ref pointing towards a tackle/ball when a close tackle happens and shouts "got the ball" or "good tackle"...i do this and find it really effective. The difference between that point of the arm and a one armed advantage is negligible on TV.

Totally agree. Exactly my feeling.

Nothing do with club rivalry. He is a cheating, biting racist that dived to put the team that derved to be in this leg out.

Disgusting comment!

No, wishing him dead would be a bit harsh, I think wishing a hamstring injury on someone quite short of "disgusting".
But anyway disgusting comment for disgusting player I suppose

We all have our opinions and level of tolerance..personal wishing harm on anyone is disgusting to me unless its a murder, child abuser, drug dealer or someone who deserves it.....a footballer? Nope that over steps the mark.

Except that it wasn't a dive. Guess in this post-truth world, facts don't really matter anymore, but apart from Marquinhos being all over him, his knee slams into Suarez' calf.

I'm really not proposing genocide here. Anyone who says they've never wished harm on another is lying....
When a chav gets a good whack after gobbing off to a bouncer outside a club.... brilliant
Or a car thief runs from the police putting others at risk and drives into a lampost... karma is great
If I said "I hope Suarez had his legs broken and never walks again".... yeah, too much

The irony of mentioning "post-truth" and then basically fabricating events..... Can't tell if your comments are a wind up

Hmm, guess I've been lying for my whole life then. Wanting someone to face justice and receive the appropriate punishment - yes. Wishing harm on someone, no.

Well you're a better (and rarer) man than me. A walk through Manchester City centre I'll see a half dozen folk I wish pain on
