Was a great experience. Managed to referee 5 games including sponsors, disabled & police games.

Apparently it does move with the water & when the boats are moving in the bay. Trying to think of a few water based puns for my pre match instructions

It was 6x40 metre sprints in 6 seconds Then 150 metres in 35 seconds, then walk 50 metres in 35 seconds x 16 Easy for some I know but I was knackered at the end.

The dreaded fitness test took place tonight for the FAW Gwent FA referees. Glad to say I passed...just! (Don't think it was a good idea to go on a week's all inclusive holiday & come home 3 days beforehand though) Thanks to all the other referees for pushing me & each other all the way. Oh yeah...

Just been appointed as an assistant for the forthcoming u17s girls Wales v Republic of Ireland international. Honoured & excited. This along with a County u14s semi final, an u16s final & a senior final, this year is getting better & better.

I had a lady on the side lines who's waters broke & went into labour. Her husband was playing at the time. He asked to leave the pitch so he could be with her. I did have to stop the game again later when the ambulance service arrived. She actually had a round of applause when she left to be...
