Managers will be issued with red and yellow cards this season after the Football Association announced plans for a player-style disciplinary system on the touchline. Referees will hand out formal bookings for offences in the technical area [...] Yellow and red cards will be shown in all Football League competitions and the FA Cup.
Yup, extremely promising referee Joey Kooij gave a double yellow to a coach Friday. They seem to take being sent off better after receiving cards.Pretty sure they are using it in The Netherlands this season.
Why wouldn’t they, what’s the point or deterrent if they don’t!. I’d of doubled my CFA bonus over the years if this was chargeable in my time! I had at least one @&£b manager every game, sometimes two!Do yellow cards to coaches get reported and/or punished?

Yes they do. From the same article I linked to earlier (which I'm guessing you didn't read ):Do yellow cards to coaches get reported and/or punished?
Four yellow cards will lead to a one-match touchline ban, eight yellow cards will mean a two-match ban while 16 cards will lead to an FA misconduct hearing.

Warning a bench / manager was a weekly occurrence for me, that’s much different to showing reportable cards! You don't report warning the bench which is effectively what the yellow-card to a coach is. Has any coach been suspended for an accumulation of yellows?
Sin-bins are reported but there is no fine.
It is a great idea and a yellow card and knowing a fine is coming might well improve the sideline antics. Most coaches were players and understand this system very well and would probably take more notice than the three steps as it is more formalised.
in the three leagues I officiate in its parents etc one side and only club registered coaches the other so would be easyI guess it's not much different than the Ask, Tell. Remove approach to disciplining the benches.
But, instead of only reporting when they're binned, you'd also report them for the official yellow card.
If it were to be implemented here at Grassroots there would need to be alot of work down by clubs to makesure their coaches etc are all registered on WGS, and that any league that uses teamsheets provides enough space for all of the coaches etc to be entered.
But, then surely we'd see a problem with controlling those who are supposed to be in the technical area. Most of my games takes place at a local park or playing field where each teams "technical area" is a mix of players, coaches, and people who might be coaches or might just be people watching.
