If you're listening to the five live coverage, he just basically said the referee from the USA doesn't know how to measure 10 yds at a free kick because he only did 9 paces! Aaaaah! What did we all learn on our basic referee course that he clearly hasnt thought about? All our legs are different lengths! Plonker.

Pat Nevin is very short. probably needs 15 steps to get 10 yards out.

He's not a great commentator. Bland comments in a boring voice. Need someone a bit more excitable.

So annoyed that I have complained to the BBC! It's basically slander to a profession.

Maybe, but if I was on the radio and said something about a person's ability to do their job which was based on a clear lack of knowledge of that occupation I'd get mullered! Just because it happened in the middle of a football game doesn't make it any more allowed.
