Just discovered this on Sky tonight, it’s an interesting concept, not sure how much of a fan I am though of it.

In terms of match officials, does anyone know, are they FA referees? Are they all at a particular level ? Or would this come into the bounds of unregistered football so they could pick anyone willing to referee even if they don’t have any experience at a given level?

Mark Clattenburg is involved. Believe he had a bit of a falling out with John Terry earlier.

No idea who the others are, but it seems to me that they may be futsal officials. Pure guess!
 
Jon and Hassan at Refsix have officiated a few matches, and they aren’t futsal referees. Don’t know who else has officiated or how they appoint - sorry!

Yeah they are Level 3 and 4 referees respectively. We always have to bear in mind the FA rule that 'Registered Referees shall not officiate in any Competition, which is not sanctioned, or match in which unaffiliated clubs compete.' So one hopes that either this is sanctioned, or perhaps not sanctioned but different enough to not be officially considered a 'football' competition.

An interesting point, as their Final is in the close season . . . 🤔

It’s sanctioned a mate of mine was asked to do it as a player but by FIFA not the FA they got a FIFA sanction as they do these leagues under one banner worldwide the FA simply allow it but as a affiliate

Thanks for that info. Please copy in one previous FA Refereeing Head so he can advise the appointed officials where they are going wrong. 😁
 
Looks like utter codswallop. At least the "Go Pro Banter League" culture that somebody else so eloquently referred to on the forum, and that this league looks indicative of, usually pertains to proper football instead of whatever the hell this is.
