The Ref Stop

Touchline or Ervocom

The Ref Stop
What's wrong with the refscall ones? Not many people on this forum like them, just wondering why?
I had them. I didn't actually mind them on the whole. Flag handles weren't particularly nice (didn't affect me as the ref!) and the range wasn't brilliant (if you were too far away from AR, wouldn't buzz on arm) and the vibration wasn't amazingly strong...but for £100 or so, I thought they were decent

I had them as well before I upgraded to Ervocomm. They generally worked, but the breakdown rate was alarming, at least one in four games the receiver just wouldn't buzz when the button had been pressed. After experiment I found that wearing the receiver upside down on my arm made it more reliable, but even then it was hit and miss.

As an assistant they are a nightmare. Difficult to find the button, no idea if you've actually pressed it or not, and plain plastic handles that case the flag to go flying into orbit when you flag vigorously (some referees put tennis grips on the handle to stop this, but you shouldn't really need to).

I don't think there is a lot between Ervocomm and Touchline, but they are both miles ahead of RefsCall

They are at 50 quid bid. Somebody is trying to sell a two flag ervocom set for £350 which is a bit much I think.

I'm looking for 275+delivery but there is a slight bit of negotiation in that price for the set I'm selling on another thread.

Have you sold your ones?

I've only used touchline ones, and on both occasions I never pressed the button so I have no idea whether they're better than "normal" flags.
