    Busy week

Started the week with just assisting on a cup final on Sunday. However I've already done 2 games this week (I nearly did 2 this morning as a ref didn't turn up) and now I'm in the middle for one tomorrow on top of the final. You can really tell It's that time of the year...

Red card-where to send the player?

Just away, probably far enough away so that you cannot hear them if they wish to make further comment pretty much.

Red card-where to send the player?

I would be surprised if they don't have anyone to escort them away even if it isn't their own parent somebody elses could do it if it was a safeguarding issue.

    Semi-Final

Been given late late notice for a semi final tomorrow, hopefully all goes well and the losing teams anger doesn't go out on me. :hmmm:

Most penalties you've ever given in a game?

Been involved in a game where I think there was 5, was very bizarre I think there was even two DOGSO situations (one for either side) but not given as such to my surprise.

    #GERENG

I noticed the referee doing that in the Liverpool vs Man UTD game in the Europa League and found it strange, it took a while sometimes to realise who he was giving it to.

    Final

I've been assigned as an assistant for an U15s final this year! Hopefully next year I'll get some experience in the middle, just need to keep working hard.

    What should I do?

That's actually sort of what I meant by more mature, I play at U16 so I know exactly what It'll be like. I'll be getting it from the sideline and on the pitch from kids and spectators who claim to know the laws of the game when they clearly don't but as you say, I won't have anyone walking up to...

    What should I do?

I have lined about 3 OA games and been in the middle for 3/4 U13 but I don't feel it was really enough to understand say positioning on a full sized pitch. That's why I think a step up to just U15s would help as that would be full sized pitch with more mature players that I will have to deal with.

    What should I do?

I turned 16 earlier this year meaning once I re affiliate I will be a level 7 referee. But it also means the last season of junior football for my team, we have 3 games remaining and afterwords I will be looking forwards to a team for next season. However after refereeing a full year with U11s...

    Players talk!

I'm not sure but I believe it has to put off any other player. If there was no one near him from the opposition I don't think it is an offence.

    Diving

Score 1-1, striker drives from the left hand side, CB dives in and doesn't get the ball( from where I am there is no way of seeing what happened but I believe the ref was in a good position) player goes down. As you'd expect everyone screams for a penalty, parents were on that left hand side...

    Diving

I was playing yesterday (U16) and one of our lads got penalised and carded for simulation. For me it wasn't simulation but also not a penalty if you know what I mean. Anyway I was wondering how people differentiate a dive from a fall and when and when not to penalise a dive.

    Football manager 2016

Great game they've made great progress since that time and the realistic simulation is actually quite impressive. Well worth the money in my opinion.

    Plans for next season

At the minute I'm not sure whether to keep playing and on which day (moving into open age play) or commit myself to refereeing on both Saturday and Sunday. If i were to keep playing I would then have to make a decision on which day I would do each commitment. At the minute I have no idea

    Handball

    Sounds about right :hmmm:

    Handball

I personally like the 'unnatural position' point of view as it normally entails a blocking of the ball that is in control of the player. There are situations however where I believe you cannot apply this logic. It's generally a tough one

Junior/Youth Manager getting sent away... Then not again

I was playing yesterday (U16) and our CAR gave a goalkick, he wasn't up with play but the ref stuck with him anyway. There manager suddenly starts throwing abuse towards the CAR saying 'How can you see from there?' etc. this goes on for a while and they are both restrained. The CAR did swear at...

    Arsenal vs Chelsea

A few talking points in this game, wondering what people thought of the red card and the penalty shout for chelsea where Koscielny completely wiped out a Chelsea player. Any thoughts?
