I was just wondering if anyone had started to consider applying for an international tournament either at Easter or the End of the Season? I've had a look at a couple I've played in a few years ago in The Netherlands but would be looking for something different.
Any suggestions?
if the Under 12 game is full 11 aside pitch it will be their first time playing it - till the end of the season there, they only play part pitch but with 11aside rules. a lot of the pro youth teams are of excellent standard. enjoy :)
After the fall out during week two of the summer quiz over signalling what the correct procedure should be, I think it is worthwhile posting this link from the FA development programme in the announcements since it is quite important for match control and credibility. Please remember that it was...
Well I've been informed by a category one and a FIFA referee that you are wrong so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
Direct by definition means uninterrupted. Although direct in this situation supposed to refer to the same player, which I appreciate, it doesn't actually say that.
@DanCohen17 Well, "direct" to me means the first touch as soon as it is dropped. A direct free kick can be scored without other player interference. In my opinion and understanding of the wording, As soon as a player takes the touch from the dropped ball it is no longer direct from the dropped...
Had an incident at a tournament where a team made an unauthorised sub and had me thinking. If I'm refereeing and caution 9 for the team and he then goes off as part of an unauthorised sub, technically I'd be cautioning the person who entered for doing so without permissions but also second...
I know there were a few problems with regards to last weeks quiz but I was wondering if there are going to be any more@Supermonkey . If not I can understand but the scenarios were quite good and though provoking - would be a shame.
The explanation we were given was that as per page 132 the keeper must be between the goals, under the bar and facing play and this is a KEY procedure that must take place for the kick to legally be taken despite the whistle being blown. I understand the point however, I trust the FIFA guys (no...
As Owen said, pg 44 states the keeper must be on his line etc
pg 45 says that only when the players have adopted their positions in accordance with the law can the kick be taken
We disagreed with number 2 at the meeting but I now understand the reasoning behind it.
1) Retake - LOTG pg 47 since the ball is touched by outside agent it is retaken
2) IDFK to opponents and yellow for USB - LOTG pg46 since the taker infringes the Taking of the PK and it does not enter the...
Had a training day today with FIFA referees and want to know what you think of these questions.
I'll post the answers later on after you write what you think. Some of them were bringing up interesting discussions and we didn't agree with one in particular.
1) PK is kicked toward goal when a...
If they started the game with one team then they stay with that team during the game no matter what type of game. If they want to keep the same strip but tackle their own team mates then there's nothing I can do since they are not doing anything illegal. If they change strip and one team has...
