After the fall out during week two of the summer quiz over signalling what the correct procedure should be, I think it is worthwhile posting this link from the FA development programme in the announcements since it is quite important for match control and credibility. Please remember that it was only really the English FA that used this "signal" and they even admit that it was "used by very few (if any) other FAs" which begs the question, why does the English FA feel they had to be different for many years?

As I said at the time (whilst the majority argued against me and a few others) the "signal" was not, and most likely never will be a FIFA approved signal. My reasoning behind why I thought the signal was clumsy is also outlined in the second paragraph.
