A U18 girls' player kicked me!

Me being a 19 year old ref in the US, I would greatly appreciate that.

This does NOT sound like this will go over too well...

    Junior/Youth Yellow card FOR DOGSO?!!

Even in the US, I'd be red carding him. I'd put any attempts to get me to rescind it as an obvious attempt to make me break the LOTG in their favor... which never happens needless to say :D

    Some rather alternative LOTG challenges

I've seen 3 different opinions from 3 different FA's from (possibly) 3 different countries. Let's add a 4th :D 1. For me, this a RC for DOGSO. Sure, the GK didn't commit on offense himself, but using an outside agent like that with the intent to stop an attack like that is pretty much extending...

    End it, im bored

Well, unfortunately your hands would be tied. The Laws of the Game mandate there be 2 equal halves.... But when the president of the country you're playing in tells you to do something, generally the man in power of the country trumps the referee...

    Cautioning Player who isn't there....

This goalkeeper talk reminds me of the two times I've cautioned players for swapping goalies without me noticing. The first was during a U15 girls match in recreation leagues (ones without standings essentially). During the course of play, out of the corner of my eye I see the keeper changing...

Best complaints you've ever recieved from an aggrieved team...

You get called about being reported? You get reported? Here in the US the only time we know how "bad" we were is at an end of the year meeting.

    Junior/Youth First ever DOGSO

Over here in the US, I have yet to give a DOGSO red. Though, to be fair, I have given reds for Language, SFP, VC, and 2CT. Though, only over 3 seasons and rarely.

    What a game!

Nothing that crazy on this side of the pond like this... Let me tell ya you have more courage than me lol

Contentious decision: What would you do?

From the sounds of it, it should be a PK and a sending for VC. To be fair though, that is the first time I've ever heard this, but chalk it to experience and move along.

Open Age lesson learnt today - C4

I would book the first one. Reasoning behind it; no one made him go towards the ball, and no one forces him to kick the ball no matter how slight.

    Junior/Youth Sarcasim = booking?

You know, I'd book him, but here in the US it's pretty hard to get a booking for dissent. The abuse over here is still pretty bad, don't get me wrong, but it's mostly the parents that commit "dissent" so to speak. Most yellows in the leagues I ref are for USB.

    First time abused

Hey man. Least you spoke up. I'm glad you're still healthy and fit after that.

    Temper, temper

Wow... The police had to intervein... All the reds were deserved. Hope the team gets fined alot for their disgraceful performance.

    Referee attack

Yeah, to further your point, in the past few years 2 refs have died from injuries steming from being punched by players in the US. Kinda scary if you ask me.

    Initial Infringement

Well there is that option xD
  17. Raider025

    Initial Infringement

Well, in my opinion, you just have to report it to the CFA, along with a good appology, and an explaination of what the circumstances were. I'm a ref in the US, but I'm aware that, possibly, a mass confrontation needs to be reported or included in your match report.

My first (and currently only) red card incident.

In the US the referee organization has put out a Zero Tolerance policy, regarding everyone around the pitch save the referees. We also have directives to red card any player who swears in a youth match, particularly if it's directed towards referees.

My first (and currently only) red card incident.

I appreciate the feedback from everyone. Lets see if I can get to answering as much as I can. Thank you. All I wanted to do is learn from this experience. Thanks, next time this happens, I'll try that out. Last year was only my 2nd season as a referee, so I was a little underknowledged as to...

My first (and currently only) red card incident.

I appologize if it came off like that. I'd have preferred to get feedback on 2 things. 1.) That this incident warranted any action, which after some reflection I have saw that maybe I was a little harsh on the yellow, which duly turned red after a players action. 2.) If this incident happened...
