Depends what games you're getting on the SAL. If you're getting the senior division games then I've found them much higher quality than the Sunday league I do, but the quality falls off quite sharply after that. But I definitely agree with Brian. Sunday league is certainly not easy street!

Agree the kick should have been retaken, but the keeper can take it from wherever he wants within the goal area, doesn't have to be in line with where the offence occurred.

Afraid not IMO. For something that is so clearly offensive and insulting, delivered directly to an opposition player after you've already called them over to speak to them, it's a red card.

A frozen pitch is going to be slippy, and the surface is more likely to be uneven as it will have been churned up and then frozen that way. Generally in summer it's flat, baked surfaces where there is still plenty of grip, so far less danger of slipping around or twisting a knee in a rut.
