In my match last night, a team were forced in to a substitution 13 minutes in to the game. As this meant his replacement was rushed to be ready, they didn't have time to properly convey the tactical instructions required. Low and behold, 30 seconds later the goalkeeper has an injury requiring...
I don't agree. I can guarantee that probably hurt Doku, but I feel like there is zero chance of that challenge causing him an injury more than just the impact pain from the stud on the knee.
Point of contact is important in judging the severity of an offence, but if there is very little force...
See Cucurella's rolling around to get a Brentford player (can't remember which) booked... albeit Cucurella was holding the face so trying to get him sent off. This after being the one who started it. Should have been a caution a piece.
Not for me. Certainly not clear enough for a VAR review. The arm position isn't hugely unnatural given that he's putting it out to steady himself against the attacker and he has very little time to react to the header the attacker gets on the ball.
Theoretically you could play advantage to benefit the non offending team in the event of an OGSO, but unless someone’s about to put the ball in the net, it’s probably very ill-advised after a punch 😆
Yeah of course. I meant don’t evisage Pat Butcher suddenly being able to play even if she tapes hear earrings up. (Probably a niche English comment tbf)
I think they're already in LOTG under Electronic performance and tracking systems (EPTS). But my daughter was very confused as to why the players were wearing crop tops like her when she came to watch.
As well as adding an extra consideration for all officials. Lets not forget, Bob, 70 years old refereeing from the centre circle to help out because nobody else wants to on a sunday afternoon is also supposed to remember and apply the same laws we are. Unnecessary.
If you're on about the one I'm thinking of... I still don't know if this is considered a legal throw in or whether it was the fact that the opposition immediately won the ball and began an attack... and as we know the IFAB Q&A suggests we can play advantage from a non-legal throw in. 😆
the one...
This is a particularly valid point. I don't know any referee that checks the numbers of the starting 22 players against the team sheet, letalone the names, and again coming out for the second half. There's classic law test questions about players subbing at half time without informing you... but...
Agree on this. Last season it showed us which we answered that were wrong. This season you have to redo the test and it shows you the answers after the second time (at least a month later obv) by which time you can't always remember which you put first time around.
I aim to get 100% every...
I believe (although I stand to be corrected) - the KMI panel will vote on a correct outcome for every KMI, then will conduct a separate vote as to whether an incident warranted a VAR intervention or not as a clear and obvious error.
There have been incidents voted 3-2 as a mistake and 3-2 as a...
Yeah I anticipate very limited numbers from 3-2, but probably closer to normal numbers of 4-3 and if anything, higher than normal 5-4 (I would be suprised if the FA don't take everyone that's been nominated to them, given some of the troubles so far this season)
I'm not basing this on any...
