    PIADM LCFC V BCFC

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury. I know the part in bold is 'included' not dependent on, but clearly...

    Manager sent-off

Assuming this is a womens game as I don't remember Northampton Town playing Boldmere in a mens game recently, maybe in a couple of seasons the way things are going! I'd love to know what the red card was for and on what basis it was rescinded. I've never seen that before.

    Munster v Hertha

Makes me chuckle that in law, entering the video operation room is a red card offence. Obviously this is generic LOTG for all countries with VAR however that is operated and I'm aware that somewhere the operation room may be closer to the stadium or in it, but the idea of a player being sent off...

    Most red cards

Think I'd be at 2 or maybe 3 on a sunday league game... not sure. Is there any value in showing 23 red cards?

    Wrexham- Chelsea

Just as bad if not worse? Have you considered the actual force in the challenge? (Not just force in the contact)

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

I know, but I’ve seen it happen and it would also discourage players going down holding their heads to get an attack stopped. I just worry if we go too far in the direction of head injuries mean play stops, that will be the next big problem

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

I honestly don't even know why they're trialling it. Worst idea anyone has had for a long time.

    Leeds v Sunderland

Good work. I can't disagree with most of what you say. What I will say is that I'm not convinced it's as bad as that still image looks. If someone was trying to move forwards while being held back in that way, the arm on the right of the image would be tight to his neck. the Leeds player feels...

    Leeds v Sunderland

Is there an angle that proves he's actually grabbed him round the neck? I know you're being a little exaggerative to make a point, but still... I firmly believe that it's not as bad a case of holding as it looks like it's going to be from the way he opens his arms.

    Leeds v Sunderland

Aware of that, but whether we like it or not, whether the ball is getting to the player will still come in to peoples minds. Plus like I said, I don't actually think the holding was that restrictive, it just looks like it's going to be because of the WWE style way he initiates it. Blocking is...

    Leeds v Sunderland

Not sure I agree. While I don't think many would argue if the penalty was giving due to the nature of the way he initiates the hold which looks more like it belongs in a wrestling play book, ultimately I don't think it's as bad or impactful in terms of restricting the players movement as it...

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

I'd like to see a law clarification to state that while a referee should stop play at the earliest opportunity if a player is down possibly seriously injured, including a head injury, a team have no right to argue that the referee's failure to stop play if he doesn't see the injury as serious...

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

I wondered if this would be the case, and I don't hate it given this is the condition. It does worry me that when it's 1-0 late on the chasing team will be demanding the count start the second the throw is awarded.. but it could be a useful tool to have in our bag. But equally, will the overturn...

    Leeds v Man City

I thought Farke was more miffed about the penalty incident. I haven't seen much reaction about the stamp you mention (and the link is blocked on my work pc) I've seen a lot of people on social media questioning how Farke was sent off before he even made it to the referee but Pep always gets away...

Presume he means that dogso that isnt a challenge for the ball would still be a caution

Can an AR help like this?

Very true. I (sort of) did this a few weeks ago too on a corner / goal kick decision when I gave a goal kick and everyone was in disbelief. I didn’t go over to my AR but I looked at him and mouthed corner before saying loudly corner? And he nodded and signalled it. They scored from the corner...

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

Agree. Terrible idea. Because if its 5 seconds from the ball going out its way way too short. If it's 5 seconds from the players retrieving the ball it's pointless because they'll just take a long time to retrieve it.

Can an AR help like this?

Agreed. I'd like to think there was enough force in the tackle that most observers would back me with the right explanation. I'll PM you the details and you can see the clip if you like.

Can an AR help like this?

There's another similar clip doing the rounds where a defender bundles in to his goalkeeper who spills the ball in to his own net, under pressure from a striker, and the ref awards a defensive free kick. It appears the AR then informs the referee the contact on the goalkeeper in possession of...

    Juve Vs Galatasary

With respect, still images prove nothing... that's pretty common knowledge. I've watched it and thought the player can do more to prevent what happens. If you disagree, that's fine. I also accept the argument of whether he should have to do more or not... but my stance is that I don't hate a...
