    writing subs names etc

    I think at grassroots level they are a great idea. kids dont turn up on a sunday pay subs and then never get a game and fellas out the pub can have a breather when last nights kebab is about to make a reappearance!

    Penalty

    please don't just answer with "because they are the laws" but... The arc on the edge of the penalty area is there for the sole purpose of keeping players 10 yards away from the ball and the goalkeeper must remain on his line meaning he must stay 12 yards away from the ball. Given that...

    Laws You Would Like To Ammend/ Change ?

    i agree with this too.... but if, in the opinion of the referee, a player is feigning injury then we could ask him to leave the pitch for treatment/after treatment this one isnt technically a law but more a competition rule however id also like away goals to only count in 90 minutes. if its 1-1...

    Laws You Would Like To Ammend/ Change ?

    Id like to change the dogso rule in terms of goalkeepers... i'm not saying give them their own rules but by definition of being the preverbial "last man" for 99.9% of a match i think its very harsh that 99% of fouls they committ are seen as red card offences. I Also think it's harsh that a...

    Offsides = pain in *rse

    No one had a clue about the decision, not the noise. i should of explained that better. glad its provoked some discussion! I honestly thought i'd seen it all in football through playing, coaching, watching.... and then i started refereeing!

    Today i refereed a vets game. There was no team sheets before hand or anything like that and as it was a vets game it was roll on roll off subs. Can anyone give me tips to write down subs names quicker? I felt that every time a sub was made (and there was 8 in total) I was taking forever to...

    A "Farting" noise

    The shot did't go out for a goal kick. it sort of trickled about 4 yards infront of the attacker. Thats right. They were under 16's. to be honest most parents are biwildered by most decisions. It was loud enough for myself, the attacker and about 6 other playes to hear it (and for most...

    A "Farting" noise

    Is there actually a Law for mine though? i looked through the LOTG and can't find where it says a player can't say mine? The tutor on our course also said there is no law which stops a player from saying mine? I know i sound thick... actually... I am thick!
