I'm presuming the ball never went out of play?
Can you be sure it would of made a difference – I’m not sure 6 inches would make that much a difference myself.
Funny one yesterday. After asking a player to retreat the full 10 yards (twice) I then said don’t let me get my cards out.
To which all in the stands wolf-whistled and gave me a big whhhhooooooo don’t let him get his cards out….. I did laugh as I probably sounded a bit stroppy :)
Just...
What do you do when that happens - Just submit the name given by the player?
Defo made me think about this more. I know one ref who writes the team out on this match card, but that seems abit much to me.
Yes I check the name of the player with the manager when I return the match form - but quite often get, are you going to put it in then and all that stuff :p
Not sure if anyone else does this but I've stopped asking for names. I just issue the card and write down the number. I always have the team sheet prior to the game so can get the name from the sheet after.
Tough one! Think I'd give a penalty and yellow because he would of needed a touch before shooting which would of meant the second defender would of then been in a position to make a tackle. I did have to watch it three times though.lol
Basically I didn't give a blatant penalty.
I don't know why I didn't give it as the defender raised their hands to block the ball. It was such an easy decision to give, probably the easiest of the game.
I got hammered from all angles and rightly so.
I think maybe it was because I'd already...
Sounds like he shouldn't of been on the pitch himself by the comments made by others. If the ref let one go before I recon he let that go. So I'd say he give fk only.
I have two small children and work 40+ hours a week. I chose to referee on a Saturday only so I get to spend time with my family. I don't want to get higher than a level 5 for this reason.
I do middles in the morning and lines with more senior referees in the afternoon. Doing this gives me...
Just wondering if you make a mistake in a game, how do you feel about it?
I know some referees say they just walk away and don't worry about it. Others say they put it right in the next game, whereas others it spoils there day.
I'm a dweller unfortunately.
Fans are stupid to say that. I don't beleave any premier league referee would favour any team.
Andre is a class referee who has been conned by Ramiers, Gotta feel for him.
Bet Marriner gets punished for that unlike Ramires.:(
Up the villa ;)
I always take my league handbook and FIFA rule book along. I've not had to use them yet but you never know what crazy things come up.
I also take a spare set of studs and shin guards. Crazy maybe, but if a player is short I'm happy to lend them as they are no use to me since I stopped playing...
