Does anyone use a wrist lanyard?

I have one on my left wrist. Great for using and holding the whistle in your hand, but nice to be able to just 'let it go' when doing admin.

    Forum rules......

@HullRef :( ;) I agree. The vast majority of members adhere to general forum etiquette, so there shouldn't be a need for a defined set of rules.

The graphics are good, but thats as far as it goes. Good idea, but lack of LOTG knowledge and consistency, its very difficult to keep up with the various cameras sometimes. Poor decision making, and some very strange decision. Lack of consistency with following LOTG. 12/13 for example...

    Cautioning

For me, the YC comes out to the player, then I write the number on the card. Two strips of masking tape, one for home one for away.

    Leave it or not

So many times people have insisted that 'leave it' or 'mine' is a foul, even at a high level. I only ever pulled it up once and cautioned for it. They were happy about the FK but not YC? :alien:

    Sunderland v. Cardiff

Great decision for me. Maybe he could have whistled as soon as the striker went wide, but all the same, good decision. Like Gus Poyet said, it would have been easy for the striker to go down but he stayed on his feet and got what he deserved. Well done.

    Lookalikes

True story coming up here... I needed a haircut, so I went to the barber shop, showed him a picture of Clattenburg post-whatever he did to his hair, and the barber said "sure, it is a no problem!"... However, when I look in the mirror now, I resemble Webb more than Clattenburg. Grr. Morale of...

I don't understand why OFFINABUS or Violent Conduct should be treated different from a DOGSO...?

    Junior/Youth Lenience

I understand what you are saying, but I don't understand why you would potentially jeopardise a possible better mark or a promotion, in order to do something that is not in your remit, IE educating rather than punishing? And I agree with Owen, a child will learn from being sent off. I believe...

    Junior/Youth Lenience

I'm sorry, but first things first, if you want to get up the ladder, you have to please the assessors, no if buts or maybe's about it. Also, with younger referees being promoted quicker, it is very possible that you would be assessed at an U13 match, obviously the criteria would be different...

What would happen if you were assessed? It isn't up to you to pick and chose which laws you apply and to who they apply.
