    WSL Liverpool v Aston Villa

I wouldn’t suggest it’s going to be the same in the EPL because they know it’ll be checked by VAR and KMIs judged, but agree at lower levels including EFL

Spintso S2 Pro now available to buy

I make it £250. Again, can’t see the benefits over refsix on a smart watch tbh.

    Problem with Buzzers

My buzzer flags have encountered a problem. The receiver unit keeps turning itself off. These are refstech flags. Having spent some time playing around with it, I can’t quite put my finger on what’s making it turn off, but it seems to go off most when I play around with the bronze colour...

Man City v Fulham - Hair Pulling

Was referring back to my comments about the Foden challenge.

    Memory and Awareness

It is a good tip when all else fails, and it usually works, however I have had it go wrong on a red card decision and everyone stands there and says 'who'? You feel like a bit of a tool. With regards to the captain, I've told the captain before 'help me out, I've lost the man, it's borderline...

    Memory and Awareness

Is this a generalisation? Or are you referring to yourself in the third person? 😆

Man City v Fulham - Hair Pulling

I'm not sure there's enough force in the Foden tackle (shocker as it is) to make it an obvious enough error for VAR to intervene, but I would support a red card as the on field decision. As for the hair pull... I can't actually see it clearly enough to form an opinion. Edit: Just seen it again...

    Continuation holding and DOGSO

Double smug :smug: P.S. I don't work for IFAB, promise.

    Continuation holding and DOGSO

Correct, but you can penalise the pull at any time, you don't have to wait to see whether it gets in to the box.

    Birmingham City v WBA

I've always maintained, not from a law perspective, but from a footballing perspective, if you don't want to be given offside, don't stand in an offside position. If you're in an offside position, you're at risk of being considered to be interfering with an opponent.

    Continuation holding and DOGSO

Feeling pretty smug right now... it's about time I got something right :smug:

    Sheff Utd v Middlesbrough

I’m intrigued as to how they are meant to submit this information to the match referee 7 days in advance when, for games on Saturdays, the referee is only officially announced 5 days prior

    LIV v MCI

He played advantage from the Szoboslai foul on Haaland 100% and he didn’t see the other foul.
  14. R

    LIV v MCI

No. Which would appear to be an oversight / error.

    LIV v MCI

aware this is friend of a friend of a friend type stuff so read in to it whatever you will, but I’m told by someone I know that is in the know that Dermot is correct and Craig Pawson just didn’t see the pull by Haaland because he was unsighted

    LIV v MCI

It's a deliberate foul. Some would describe that as cheating. I'm not saying it wasn't warranted or expected. It wasn't a sleight on Haaland. See big Cat's comments on another thread. Everyone cheats, even us as referees.

    Newcastle v Brentford

Apologies, yes, that was my own wording, not the chap I spoke with who knows better! Lazy wording from me, and I do know the difference.

    Newcastle v Brentford

I've spoken to someone in the know (and in the know with VAR too) about these recent handball decisions. What he told me about the interpretation is that yes, for an arm to be punished as non-deliberate handball, it still has to be making the body unnaturally bigger, however the closer to the...

    LIV v MCI

Neither is handball to score a goal This is what I was suggesting, yes. Not even necessarily in my opinion, just that if intentional handling to score is a caution, then it's a debatable subject, that's all I was saying. No issue with you disagreeing, I'm just saying there would be some degree...

    LIV v MCI

I'm not interpreting the law in a way they're not written, I'm suggesting a case could be made to change the law for it to be included, not that it is a cautionable offence as things stand. The argument being that pulling a defender in such a way to score a goal is not wildly different in...
