    My final assesment

The reply I got... Thanks for your reply yes you are just under the overall pass mark with your 5 assessments unfortunately, however as you have correctly stated you have learnt a lot over the past year and gained a lot more refereeing experience. Consequently this will now put you in very...

    Dangerous play!

I got pulled up in assessment about not giving a IDFK for high foot. As far as I'm aware all dead ball situations have to start with stationary ball. If it's moving it's a easy one to sell and no one argues. Done it a few times and it's fine

    My final assesment

Sorry about putting team names and assessors name in. This is what my chief assessor said in email: The pleasing part is that you have worked on some of the development points raised in the previous assessments which is very encouraging so good steady progress is being made. As you are...

    Polar RS400 Foot Pod

Is there anything in law which says you can't wear it. Your not going to be tackling players - so why are you worried ? I've worn it during a game before a few players commented at the start and that's it

    Awkward situation

Was recently put in a awkward situation and I just want to know what u would have done. I've known this ref for a while he is a L7 or 6. An email went round asking to cover a friendly game that PM. I was free so I covered it. During the game I YC 3 players - 2 home 1 away team. The manager...

    Open Age Question

Personally I would caution for one, doesn't matter which one. I would also pull The captain over and give VERY STRONG words of advise and go from there. Giving two YC like that could be dangerous and you could lose control if the game.

    4th assesment

Think I'm struggling to get close to the marks as already on assessment 4 and get 5 tomorrow. I know my score for this. But would be interested in your views on this beforehand: Assessors must complete as advised in the “Assessor Guide”. 1. Application of Law: It was good to see you...

    Violent Conduct?

VC all day. My best mate had a similar one. Tackle goes borderline YC for tackle. Player (victim) of the tackle stands up and pushes player who made the tackle in the back with a bit of force. That player then turns round and slaps him!! Both get RC for VC. After discussing this with my mate...

Open Age First game this weekend

As a 1st aider myself and being brought up in that world (my did 1st aid for 15+ years at school) I am fully aware of the dangers of head injuries. I don't care what age group if a player gets any kind of head injury and they go down I'm stopping play. I would rather stop play and take the...

Classic things you hear whilst refereeing...

Quick break by reds. I'm in the line catching up. Player A is passed all orange defenders and gets past the GK passes FORWARD to player B who is PAST all defenders and GK. I'm about 4/5 yard behind play I admit. all defenders scream OFF SIDE. I stick my flag up, ref blows off side. The striker...

Classic things you hear whilst refereeing...

Today I was on the line. Tried my luck with a bit of banter with a player - not sure it went down as planned. 2nd half corner by me. Taker shouts NORMAL - as he kicks it's it comes onto the FOP for a split second then into the side netting. I say ""OH THATS NORMAL IS IT?" he just stares at...

    A job for anyone

Guys & girls, Since July, I've been doing a 3rd job. My normal FT job, refereeing and my new 1. In my new job, I work the hours I LIKE, and how often I like. The money I earn is unlimited. TRUE, if I want to do more hours, I could earn more cash. Tonight I was at a meeting and I met a...

    Recording equipment

It's a thought. For less than £8 you could invest in a pen would looks like a normal PEN which fits in your shirt pocket. It's records what you see and hear. What do you think as a tool on the FOP? http://bit.ly/17WvPeq
