Player scores but afterwards referee realises be has scored illegaly

Scenario : A player scores a goal a yard away from the goal from an awkward bounce using his belly. Some opposition players shout hand ball (which they always do whether it is a hand ball or not). The referee does not see the hand ball and thinks its come off the abdomen/belly as the hands were...

Player swears at an opponent verbal abuse only

Okay, whilst the ball is IN PLAY - you see two players from opposing teams swearing at each other. You stop play immediately to calm the situation. Now after both players have calmed down, how is play restarted? From where should play be restarted? And most importantly who gets the ball as...

Player misreads where the touchline is and takes throw in 3 yards inside the field of play.

You say the throw-in hasnt occurred but the player has already thrown the ball to his teammate at which point play was stopped because he threw it a few yards inside the field of play. A few spectators were suggesting that the throw should be overturned, which tbh I thought they may have had a...

Player swears at an opponent verbal abuse only

If you do decide to take action, i.e give a yellow card. Would it be an IDFK to the opposing team regardless of which team had the ball? Also when should play be stopped and from where should play be restarted?

Player misreads where the touchline is and takes throw in 3 yards inside the field of play.

We had a bit of a chuckle in one of the games where there player took a throw in about 3 yards inside the field of play. He genuinely lost his bearings and was embarrassed as he tried to blame another line on the field which only he could see 🤣 The actual throw was fine. How should play be...

Player swears at an opponent verbal abuse only

Whilst the ball is in play. Off the ball a Player from Team A shouts out "F**** O** you F**** Idiot" to a player from Team B. What, if any is the action that needs to be taken? Do you stop play immediately? Also is it a booking or do you just have a word?

How and when to stop play for Violent conduct off the ball.

Thanks for the response. So would it be an IDFK? Also does the free kick need to be taken from the position the incident occurred or where the ball was when play was stopped?

How and when to stop play for Violent conduct off the ball.

Team A has possession of the ball in the middle of the pitch. A player from Team A kicks out at a player from Team B slightly catching his leg. Team B player does NOT react to this and just plays on (which is unusual i know). The off the ball incident actually has no impact on the play and...

Why is there no yellow card for a player fouling an attacker, but not stopping a promising attack?

Clarification needed. If a player is fouled but stays on his feet as he is trying to continue a promising attack and the referee plays advantage, Why is there no yellow card for the offending player after the ball goes out of play? The point I’m trying to make is that the advantage may still...

Does the ball need to be out of play when giving a player a 10 min Sin Bin? Or can you stop play?

Would it be reasonable to stop play if the attack is coming from the offending players team, hence eliminating the possibility of that scenario of the offending player scoring when he should have been sin binned?

Does the ball need to be out of play when giving a player a 10 min Sin Bin? Or can you stop play?

Just needed clarification on this. Does the ball need to be out of play when giving a player a 10 min Sin Bin? Or can you simply just stop play to give a Sin Bin? Thanks

Correct throw-in enters field of play and then curls off the pitch without anyone touching it...

If a correct throw-in is taken and it enters the field of play and then goes off the pitch without anyone touching it. What is the restart? Same team re-take or throw-in to the opposing team? I'm asking as it does not specify this in law 15 - the throw-in. Thanks

Players making abusive comments towards opponents

You're right at the highest level. but at amateur Sunday league football, I think it won't be as practical to give a red card for a swear directed at the opponent. During the basic referee course that's what our trainer told us.

Players making abusive comments towards opponents

I agree, I think that would classify as a yellow. The law doesn't specify adopting an aggressive attitude is only physical and not verbal. But what kind of words/attitude would be enough for only a yellow and not a red?

Players making abusive comments towards opponents

So what kind of language used is enough for a yellow only and not a red?

    Players swearing at each other

If 2 players of different teams swear at each other off the ball whilst the ball is in play, according to law what should the referee do?

Difference between Foul Tackle (FT) and Reckpless Play (RP)

Ok, so a professional foul which was not reckless for e.g would be classified as a foul tackle right.

Difference between Foul Tackle (FT) and Reckpless Play (RP)

When trying to upload the cautions on the Whole game system to make sure we are selecting the correct code. What is the difference between FT (Foul Tackle) and RP (Reckless Play)? Any examples of these?
