    WHU v TOT

I don't think it even hit his arm though. The angle from in front shows it clearly hits his head and bounces closely by his arm, but no clear evidence of it hitting his arm. That is why it took so long, the VAR was checking if it actually hit his arm. The picture above is misleading as it is...

    WHU v TOT

The ball hits his head, was a fantastic decision and use of VAR (for once). It took ages to get to the decision, but at least it was correct

    NEW MCI re-refereeing

Has anyone actually heard the communication between VAR and ref like they promised for this season? I would love to here this conversation.

    CHE Spurs

The fact that the ref didn't give it 'live' is very worrying too. It was right in front of him. Apparently we can hear the VAR conversation? That will be interesting. That's literally assault.

    Wales v Ukraine

Truly unbelievable. Would love to hear the communication between VAR and ref

    RMA vs LIV

If a player slide tackling a player is not deemed playing the ball then what is? He tackled him and it went onto his own player. So it should be a goal. Change it up a little.... Its a through ball and Konate slide to try and intercept it, and played it into the attacker it's a goal. There...

    RMA vs LIV

Konate plays the balls as a clearance onto Fabinho, who knocks it to Benzema. They screwed that up big time

    FA Cup

I'd say: Charges and jumps at + challenges + using excessive force. Excessive due to the distance he ran, how high he jumped to lunge in, and the speed and force of the challenge.

    FA Cup

Oh wow, I know it was bad, but never realised he only 'won the ball' during the follow through. For me, even more of a reason for a red card.

    FA Cup

Wouldn't you be endangering the player's safety? An inch to the left/right and that's a snapped leg. Not sure how you could 2 foot someone safely... Especially after running 10m or so to build up speed and therefore force.

    FA Cup

How about the two footed flying lunge by Thiago? OK he won the ball, but that's an insane challenge. Literally launched through the air, at speed, two footed.

    Everton Vs Chelsea

Considering how dangerous a flare could be.... How nothing was done about this is criminal. Maybe there was a slim chance none of the on field officials saw it, but could VAR have gotten involved? Could he still get a ban or as the officials let it go, he gets away with it?

    Newcastle v Liverpool

Surely outside the area and not on the keeper that is a red? Not only that, he gets him mid lower leg too with a secondary glance/kick
  14. R

    Newcastle v Liverpool

Just out of interest... Had Mane done that tackle on a midfielder in the middle of the pitch, surely that is a red? Why not on keeper? Studs on top of the knee and dragged down to the ankle. Really quite a horrible tackle. And... Let's be honest, he had about 1% chance of getting remotely...

    ARS v MUN

Think the Nketiah goal/saka penalty showed how VAR can be used properly. Would agree regarding the DOGSO comment. Through on goal and he does that? No attempt to play the ball whatsoever. Bruno - should have been a red. Ball was long gone too. It was a disgraceful lash out. Xhaka's goal -...

    A Madrid v City

Totally agree. Nice early yellow to calm it all down. Missed opportunity.

    A Madrid v City

Referee had no control over that game tbh. He allowed so much foul play to go on, which boiled over and allowed for the mass chaos at the end. Even with all of the officials they still didn't seem to control/discipline properly. Shame we didn't see the 'headbutt' replay either. Commentators...

    A Madrid v City

Anyone else think this is a really poor display from this referee for such a high profile European game?
  19. R

    Arsenal v Brighton

They showed probably 7/8 camera angles while they were trying to do the lines. Then over the commentary said they can't find an angle.

    Arsenal v Brighton

Isn't the point of a offside VAR check to make factual yes it was onside/offside? With no 'evidence' how have they come to rhat conclusion? Wouldn't the protocol be stick with the on field decision? I agree it looks offside (probably was offside), but we don't know what we can't see.
