Friend did ok, cant help thinking a top man who have shown Matic no mercy, but, he chose to give him a final final warning, game went well for him though, certainly not the shambles I expected, still dont feel the players have faith in him but if he gets more of the bigger games and performs ok, that might come.

I think there was a misunderstanding on the first foul he did after his caution. It was actually given against Herrera before Matic then also fouled the attacker, so Matic cannot be punished there. There were a few moans and Friend there, but a lot more when he did commit a foul a few seconds later as they presumably though he had done two close together. So it couldn't have been PI, and Friend would have had to deem the challenge worthy of a caution in its own right which may have been a tad harsh.

Not having that Matic foul as a yellow not at all, if he had not already have had a yellow it wouldn't have been mentioned.
