Technically they have only scrapped the retirement age, the age limit on nomination still remains. Mike will certainly not be being listed again, sadly.

Maybe Scots - but could you seriously have guys from Wales and Ireland who only referee part time football at about conference standard (if that) at one of the world's major tournaments. Yes, Snoddy did it (in 1990 I think) and I know they're on the lists blah blah ..... But still - credibility?
