First day of the new season

So, I'm really looking forward to Saturday's fixture. Two new clubs in the league and the home secretary has confirmed the arrangements and asked if I'll be staying for food after the game. It sounds good so far doesn't it? Oh no it doesn't! I received an email alert from Full Time late last night informing me the game has been postponed! This was followed by confirmation from the referees' secretary that the game is definitely off but doesn't know why. My kit bag's already packed! Why me?

Perhaps they couldn't get a pitch? At this time of year many pitches haven't been converted back from cricket and it is a common problem in the league I am involved with.

It seems there's a problem with the away club's registration. Their reserve team's home fixture is also off. This makes it even more frustrating!
