i think that's a very good piece of advice Dave

it was only by being an asst ref in a 'proper match' that i finally understood that not being offside from a goal kick applied to strikers of the side taking the goal kick, too

i blame the attackers for religiously standing on the halfway line

happily, i only pondered on it during the game and never had to consider flagging
